The short version
CookSth is a free recipe generator. The recipes you see are written by an AI model, not a professional chef or a nutritionist. Use them as inspiration. Cook responsibly. Don't try to break the site, don't try to scrape it, don't try to feed it nonsense to embarrass it. Be kind to yourself in the kitchen.
What CookSth is
CookSth is a hobbyist culinary site that turns a list of ingredients into a written recipe, three illustrative images, and an opinion. The output is produced by a third-party generative model (Google's Gemini family) on demand. Recipes are saved to a public collection so others can discover them. No payment is required. No subscription exists. The site is provided as-is, and we may add, change, or remove features at any time without prior notice.
Using your account
You can use CookSth fully anonymously. You can also create a free account using either an email and password, a Google account, or a Facebook account. If you sign up you agree that the email or third-party identifier you provide belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your password private. If you suspect your account has been used by someone else, email us and we will help. We may suspend or close any account that is being used to abuse the service or to harass other people.
AI-generated recipes and food safety
Every recipe on CookSth is generated by a language model. We do not test the recipes, we do not measure them in a kitchen, and we do not have a chef reviewing them before publication. They are creative suggestions, not verified instructions. You are responsible for cooking safely: check that ingredients are fresh, cook meat and seafood to safe temperatures, and never serve food to someone who has a known allergy without independently verifying every ingredient. If a recipe contradicts your own knowledge or an authoritative source, trust the authoritative source. CookSth is not a substitute for medical, nutritional, or food-safety advice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use CookSth to do any of the following:
- Submit prompts designed to produce illegal, hateful, sexual, or violent content.
- Attempt to identify, reverse-engineer, or extract the underlying models or system prompts.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically download the recipe corpus.
- Bypass the rate limits, the consent banner, or the authentication system.
- Use the site to harass, defame, or violate the privacy of any person.
Recipes you generate
When you generate a recipe it becomes part of the public collection and may be shown to other visitors on the homepage, in the sitemap, in search engines, and in social previews. The recipe text and the accompanying images are not linked to your name or your account in the page itself. By generating a recipe you grant CookSth a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and translate that recipe in connection with the operation of the site. You are free to reuse any recipe you generated for your own personal cooking — that is the whole point.
Intellectual property
The CookSth name, branding, editorial copy, photography, and code are owned by the operator. The recipes and accompanying images, being machine-generated, are not claimed as creative works by anyone — treat them as the kind of thing you would find in a magazine you bought at the newsagent.
Termination
You can stop using CookSth at any time. If you have an account, you can request deletion at any time — see the Data Deletion page or email [email protected]. We may suspend access for any user who violates these terms or whose use is materially harming the service.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
CookSth is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or that the content is accurate, safe, complete, or current. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of CookSth will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including, without limitation, any allergic reaction, illness, injury, or other harm resulting from preparing or consuming a recipe found here.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. When we do, we update the 'Last updated' date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the FAQ. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
