The Method

How it's made

    In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger until smooth.

    Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and sear until golden brown on all sides.

    Add the halved radishes to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften and lightly char.

    Pour the miso glaze over the tofu and radishes, tossing gently for 1-2 minutes until the sauce bubbles and coats everything evenly.

    Remove from heat and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced scallions before serving.

Pressing the tofu well is key to getting a crispy exterior.
